Close Encounters...
I had tickets to Churchill Downs yesterday, so I took half a day off work to watch the races. Although we started off sitting in the shade, apparently, as we drank more and more beer, our shade went away (turns out the Earth moves throughout the day, causing the angle of the sun to change. who knew?).
Now, I look like Richard Dreyfuss in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". I have a nasty sunburn that is concentrated on one side of my face. I can't wait to go out in public today.
