Wireless TV is where it's at
CNET Reviews has a cool article on Wireless TV. Basically, wireless TV does just what the name implies - it lets you take the TV from room to room (or even outdoors).

How does it work? Well, it's pretty simple. The TV's base station has connections for your audio and video source(s). The base station uses an 802.11b network to transmit the content to your TV.

According to the article, the SD picture quality was good. However, these will never be able to transmit HD over 802.11b.

Sony's model sports an option so cool that it is almost hard to believe. Their LF-X1 will let you watch your own cable or satellite feed from anywhere (yes, anywhere) that has either wired or wireless broadband access. So you could be on vacation in Florida and watch your local TV channels. It even has an IR blaster that lets you change the channels on your remote cable or satellite box. Sweet!

While these first generation models have their limitations, I can only imagine that, in a few years, we'll all have something like this. I can't wait.
