Mark Cuban talks music
Mark Cuban has another interesting post over on Blog Maverick. This time, he is challenging the music industry to find a viable model for distributing digital music rather building a wall around their industry with lawsuits and legislation. I've been arguing the same thing for a long time; however, no one cares what I think. It's nice to see someone like Cuban speaking out on the topic, too.
I, personally, would rather not have to buy another CD ever again. I would much rather continue using a service, like Rhapsody, that provides music as a utility. One monthly fee gives you access to everything. You can access it at home, at work, in your car. Rhapsody is pretty close to perfect. It's two biggest issues are that it's catalog is missing a few major artists and it isn't (yet) portable to where you can access in your car. Once they do that, I'll be hooked for life.
