Google Suggest filters profanity
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains explicit language, so stop reading if you can't handle explicit language

Google has launched yet another beta feature. Google Suggest enhances the basic Google search interface by trying to guess what you are searching for as you type your query. It is basically like the AutoComplete feature in Windows.

As I was testing out the suggestions list, I did notice that Google has censored the list so they don't offer suggestions for profanity (and other related words). So far, I've found that suggestions for sex, porn, f*ck, p*ssy, c*cksucker, motherf*cker, blowjob (although "bl*w job" is OK), oral and anal (those last two seem like they would have lots of legitimate results) are being censored.

There are some others that are censored; however, I would look like too much of a sicko if I posted them.

Interestingly, shit is OK. When you type "shith," the list of suggestions is pretty funny. Who knew there were 95,000 results for "shithead."

When you get some time, see if you can find more words that it doesn't allow.
