Louisville Geek Dinner v3
I had a great time at the Louisville Geek Dinner tonight at the Fox and Hound Pub & Grille. I wasn't sure what to expect from the event; however, there was a really strong turnout with well over 50 people showing up. A nice mix of startup entrepreneurs, VC, IT, engineers, etc.
Tom and I went representing Profilactic. Much to our surprise, several people there were Profilactic members. The ones that weren't ended up hearing more than they probably wanted to about the site.
Had good conversations with Ben Thomas, who organized the event, Todd Earwood of Outside the Valley, More than Derby and Daily Idea, Rob May of BusinessPundit.com, CPA Dwayne Dowell, Internet marketing consultant Craig dos Santos, Allen Miller and Mark Creamer who run their own IT shops and Lenny Grover of local VC firm Chrysalis Ventures. Also got to put some faces with names like local blogger David Finch.
